Driven by a life long love of drawing, I am a self-taught artist inspired by the Maryland landscape and the Chesapeake Bay.

Originally a photography major, I now enjoy a career as the Custom Framing Manager at Valley Framing & Fine Art in Cockeysville, Maryland. Photography remains an important activity and passion.

The moment I stroked the pure pigment colors of a handmade pastel on to sanded paper, I knew I had found my ultimate painting medium. Proficient in watercolor and acrylic painting, pastel is my favorite for capturing the light and texture of the landscape. You can find me painting on location "en plein air" or in my home studio.

I am a member of the Mid Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association (MAPAPA) and I participate in group "paint outs". The challenge of painting outdoors is a great way for me to delight in nature and advance my art.
